Circle of Love

Circle of Love is back.

St. Paul’s Liberty has supported Ukrainian Children and families in the past (from 2007 to 2017) by hosting children from Ukraine into our homes, church community and our hearts. These children were coming here as a respite from the effects of the Chernobyl radiation.  Deerfield hosted 13 children during those years through a group called “Circle of Love”, which originated at Bethel in Madison Wis.  The group disbanded in 2018.

Now these children are adults, and they are in Ukraine suffering the effects of the invasion of Russian troops.

The original Circle of Love Deerfield committee has come together to raise money to donate to these children and their families in Ukraine.  The committee will also donate to humanitarian organizations to help the people of Ukraine.

As a committee we are asking for donations of money that will be sent to the those in Ukraine who are in need.

100% of all donations will be given to these Ukrainian people.

Money may be placed in the donation box in the Narthex, or given directly to Rachel Beck or Jessie Behlke.  When you write a check, please make it out to St. Paul’s Liberty Lutheran Church.  Write on the memo line for Ukraine or Circle of Love.  The money will be deposited in the Circle of Love designated account.

There will be weekly updates every Sunday after church for anyone who is interested. Pastor Holly will communicate in the “Constant Contact” emails.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine you have done for me” ( Matthew 25:45). This is an opportunity to minister unto these brothers and sisters as Christ has called us to do.
